"Die Wanne" - VW Typ 166 Schwimmwagen
1 Attachment(s)
Recently finished this vignette of Schwimmwagen and it's driver. This is overall my second attempt to make a diorama-type of model. Tamiya base kit with Voyager photoetch were used for vehicle. Figure is Alpine's one. Several different paper plant kits were used for vegetation. The part I am most unsatisfied with this vignette, is water, as I wasn't able to get rid of bubbles and it doesn't look quite like I expected it would be. (But not also as bad as my worst nightmares were :P)
Here it is - this would be SSLAH vehicle in France, summer of 1944. http://static3.album.ee/files/1059/4...85027_vIcj.jpg http://static3.album.ee/files/1059/4...85039_ZC8T.jpg http://static3.album.ee/files/1059/4...85035_hsOx.jpg http://static3.album.ee/files/1059/4...85031_oAsh.jpg http://static3.album.ee/files/1059/4...85047_uDgd.jpg http://static3.album.ee/files/1059/4...85051_rfDt.jpg http://static3.album.ee/files/1059/4...85041_eccM.jpg http://static3.album.ee/files/1059/4...85053_e3iD.jpg http://static3.album.ee/files/1059/4...85057_VVx4.jpg http://static3.album.ee/files/1059/4...85059_xpRs.jpg http://static3.album.ee/files/1059/4...85033_WG7W.jpg Thanks Kristjan |
Wow, cool vignette. Excellent details and great photo layout.
I wondering what the 'background' story is with the "girls" blue bicycle? Thank you for the post here on planetarmor. AWD |
Don't sweat the bubbles. Real ponds have bubbles in them.
Looks wonderful. |
Excellent work. Love the blue bicycle to break all those green and brown tones.
