How do we revive PA?

This site used to be one of the best forums on the whole internet.

I know forums took a hit from Facebook and then from the Photobucket debacle, but things seem to be stabilizing. the facebook groups have their crowds, but Fora have a certain charm all their own, and others, like Britmodeler, ARC, UAMF and International Modeler show that the interest is still there.

So how can we fix this place? I understand new users can't register on this site. Who is the admin? I tried reaching the guy who runs kitmaker network, but he's not responding.

The VBENCH feature is a wonderful thing. Lets not let it die.

My apologies but I didn't realize we had the new registration problem regarding mail and the image verification issue. I have disabled the image verification as it was old and out of date. And updated the SMTP email settings so email is going out to new folks.

Cheers,
Jim

It WAS the best....the best forum I've ever been part of. It was always smaller but had the best membership of any online group I have been with.
Personally I still prefer the forum format as opposed to abominations like Facebook. I'm not on Facebook. I utterly despise it.
My sentiment toward Armorama isn't markedly better than that of FB.
I am a member over at Finescale.com but, while it's a great all-around forum with some great members, it just isn't the quality I experienced here. This place has become a wasteland for some strange group of reasons. I miss it.

Hi all
I'm back here after some time, I lost my password and had some problems to retrieve it. Fortunately yesterday the system was working so I made the login.
Probably aslo other modellers had the same problems and they left the site, I think the webmaster could send a mail to all the member (if it doesn't take too much trouble) with the good news that the site is again working, just my tough.
I think this was a real gem of a website, with many good modellers from all over the world, very inspiring.
Now I see it is alost abandoned, as some other forums, I think Facebook is probably the reason, tough I don't like it for posting pictures of my models, I use Fb for research.
How to put back Planet Armor on its leg...... I think we should post, post and again post.

Cheers
Alessandro

Can't agree more with you guys!
We're too old and conservative and we love forums =).
I'll try post something!
