Grille M

Hello,
My first real posting here
I finished this one a few month ago, I used The Dragon kit and parts of a Tamiya Marder because they are finer and more detailed. The drivers cupola has to be worked in in the hull instead on top of it.

I tried to open a blog on vBench, but that didn't work;

beautiful !

how disc-camo was made ?

Eddy 12-07-2012 03:41 AM

Thanks for your nice comment and my access to vbench

For the disc cammo I used low stick band for fine surfaces, a perforator and a punch and die set
I put the tape on both sides of a thin plastic plate and cut different sizes of rounds out of them
http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...isccamo001.jpg
With a sharp knife you can take the rounds of the plastic and put them on your kit
http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...isccamo005.jpg
http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...ms/disc2-1.jpg
spray the yellow paint over the whole thing and remove carefully the roundels with a knife again.
You can correct the painted round with the opening in the tape of the same size and over spray it with the cammo color
This method is quite time consuming but it gives a good result/
