Hello again,
Work has been slow on the schnellboot.
Returning back to completing the wheelhouse I have commenced with removing the plastic doors and replacing them with photoetch.
Evergreen strip was used on the skid plates on either side of the wheelhouse and on the deck. The brass was not prominent enough and the evergreen strip was the best way to emphasize the look.
Over the last 3 months the man cave was used as my new home due to half of the house and Kitchen being consumed with renovation work.
The Schnellboot was put on the back burner for the time being as the sheer size was too difficult to handle with the amount of space in the room.
I turned my attention to some other smaller subjects over this period and managed to achieve quite a few builds for an up and coming diorama.
Will be commencing another thread for the diorama shortly.
Here is where I am at..
The 2 Hobbyboss Panzer 38T's are yet to be built.Considerably surprised on how much interior detail is inside.
Some of the panzer crew figures will be used with head conversions.
Love these Minart salloons
All of the above builds are built in sub sections for ease of painting and detailing.
And for now, it's full steam ahead back with the Schnellboot.
