Okay the old thread was named "Licht und schatten" but now when itīs defined what the tanks turret number will be I started a new thread with itīs subjects true name. I haveīnt ordered the Echelon decals becouse I want to attack this on another angel. Before I have ordered and talked about the build that has stalled later on. This one I will finish more or less before the last decal makes itīs appearance so I can send them to Lawrence at Echelon. By makeing this way I can garentee there will be a tank ready as I e-mail him, and not the otherway around. Why has it taken ages for me to come to this idea? I donīt know my brain works to slow sometimes =OD
I discovered a old guitarr string from the time I was playing guitarr and I thought it might fitt as a towing cabel for the tank. I still kick around waiting for the Aber accessoris to come from Airconections. While waiting I press on to make something of the little there is to do right now.
Some work on the rightside toolbracket.
I have written 121031 with graphitpensil and itīs just to show right now. I will make a stencil later on, donīt know if Echelon has this at itīs decalsheet.
One more shot at the mantel I have re-worked with magic sculp.
Thought closed the hatch will resive a extra detail in shape of a retainer for the hatch. Itīs hard to mold in plastic but it looks so darn bad with todays standard I think.
Here is the periscoope. I stole it from my Jagdpanzer. I hope I donīt want it for that one when I continue with it at some point in life. I think itīs safe due that the periscoop wasīnt used allways by the tankers. And it give some personal and interesting tuch to it all by use it on my R01.
Left side of the tank. Just to show what it looks like at this point.
Right side of the tank. No pigments but it got the full turret number on this side. After painting the number on one side I will switch it over to the left side.
As many of my pictures itīs hard to see what I want to show. Here I have just scratchbuilt a resting plate for the jack.
Right now I will get a Leffe beer and rest before I tackel my lawndary and continue with the build. Next up is the holder for the jack. Adding the handel to the hatches and the lifting hooks on mantel and enginedeck.
