Ok gang, I present you with the first model of mine I've considered "finished" in about five years. I apologize for the rough shots but I wanted to get something up today while I had a bit of time.
Tristar kit OOB built about three years ago, moved with me about three times since then, salvaged last year and primed and basecoated. Then packed away again, only to be rescued about a month ago.
I used the "hairspray" technique on this gal and after much trial and error got some results I was pleased with (could still do better but I just wanted to finish her!). Then slammed the beast with filters, washes, oil's, pigments, stains, more pigments, more oil's....you get the drift. I wanted something down and dirty.
But really I just wanted to use the kit as a test bed for all the new products and techniques that have been evolving since my "lay-off". Most of the stuff I used is MIG Productions and I have to say for someone who has a very very limited time to model, this stuff is great. Open, dip brush and go to work.
Anyway enough typing.
