Straight Flush Radar for SA-6 - Finished

Hi folks, been quite a while since I have posted here.. no real excuse, just laziness and other non AFV projects

For about six months I have been tinkering with attempting to build one of these

The Straight Flush radar vehicle that aquires and tracks for the SA-6 launchers

Starting with the Trumpeter SA-6, which while a nice enough kit, I had a hankering to do something different, gets around the skinny missile issue anyway.

so I started by gutting the thing

and building the new flush hull

then started on the radar mounting structures, using various diameter tubes such as candy containers and deodorant bottles

Suffice to say, I have been tinkering along and have finally got to where we are today

It looks like a Straight flush but I dont have definitive drawings just web pix, so dont look too close for details as there are a myriad of variations on these boxes and each version varies, so I this one is bit of a hybrid.

So some detail stuff still to go on and then to decide on a colour finish and country as these have been sold all over the world along with the SA-6 launchers so it could end up anybody's, Russian, Czech, Polish, Iraq, Indian..just don't know yet

Cheers

Brian
