As I got this work started, I decided to start a new thread instead of adding this to Shermans.
My wife bought last Christmast a present, a hand punch with leave like patterns. It was to make leaves for small trees. I got some more and here is one with Christmas tree removed from making extra trash.
Here is closeup of the actual punch:
Before this small improvement I had to remove all bigger bits from leaves and it was too time consuming.
This is the result of punching few leaves in about 2 minutes.
This the result after glueing leaves to seafoam "tree". I use Woodland Scenics "Scenic Cement", it's readily thinned. First I brush some glue to branches, small area at a time. Then I sprinkle leaves over it and shake extra off. Result is ok to me. I think I'll go and get some Noch stuff to ease my leave factory's work
A close up.
Why am I dong these myself instead of using readily made stuff like Noch? Well, stupidity for first thing and variation secondly. I want trees to look more irregular if you know what I mean.
I'll try out other shapes and sizes later. Not sure about this one for correct scale.
