T-54b Abandoned in Afghanistan

Hi Guy`s
Well its been a long slog, but i think i am on course to get it finished very soon. Trying some different techniques to replicate the rusting and dust along the top of the fenders. Hope to construct a small base for it, nothing fancy just some sand/gravel/small rock type thing. Whats the best thing to use for small clumps of wild grass?.. any help here is appreciated. Here are a few shots as i start to paint.
