Dml 234/1

Hello,
I swore I'd never get this kit before I either built and sold Italeri version first. Selling was faster This version is a bit like warm-up for the actual fav version, Puma that I have waiting as well(Yes, I sold that, too).
There isn't much special going on with this build other than implementing Old Aber PE for it. I didn't sell PE sets with kits so those have lot of useful parts for DML versions.
I did get CH PE sets for these but to my disappointment those are not that useful CH PE have only TWO straps sets for 6 petrol canisters, that's odd.
As you can see from pics I have added CH PE for deck louvres. Aber would have been better but parts didn't fit so those couldn't be used.
I show only parts with PE as otherwise this is gonna be OOTB, right And most of all, I have solder nearly every part. If possible I will never again use super glue for PE!
Here are some pics:
CH PE louvres installed. Louvres were very easy to put in place and if straight, look great. Problem is that parts are very thin and bend too easily. Also painting is going to be tricky.

I had also Aber PE turret and I wanted to try that also. Soldering it together was easier than I feared. Aber version is about 2 mm wider than DML plastic one so I had to glue plastic strips. Some strips must be added to front and rear as well.

Aber turret soldered. I added 0,75 mm plastic to front to add thickness.

Turret from below. There is some extra solder in rear as I first soldered antenna base but removed it as DML has it right.

Anti-grenade screens are Aber, of course. Some tricky soldering but finally I managed to attach all parts in right order That is really something you have to think ahead as it saves lot of time to solder everything only once.

Hinges for handles work, thank you Aber.
