NOW I KNOW THIS WON'T BE EVERYONES 'CUP OF TEA' but I think it still qualifies as a Planet Armor worthy subject as it is Armoured,it's just a walking tank thats all. I picked this up when I was in Japan and decided to have some fun painting this guy. I watched a couple of gundam episodes with this in it and I was ready. I have never seen or built a gundam before but this was fun as it was a fairly free subject which allowed me to do what I liked. The paint on it's own took about 30 hours, construction about 5 hours. I wish the photos really captured the paint job , as I was quite happy with it, but they don't really show all the subtle shading that is there!

I 'banged up' the body armor with my trusty mini dremmel and then flat coated the individual assemblies. These kits go together without any glue - just polycaps. The parts needed to be cut from the sprue and cleaned -up still but that was it. I didn't try to putty up any seams as the robot in the DVD has all the same seam lines that the kit has. Construction was simple and easy but quite involved with about 180 parts. All fitted well.
