For some reason I have a ton of stalled projects sitting on my shelf right now. I know that I am not as bad as some (you know who you are :-) ), but it is bumming me out that I can't seem to get motivated to complete these projects. :-(
The reason that I am posting this is that I am hoping for a bit of motivation and/or inspiration. :-)
Project #1: Polish TK-3 Tankette
Begun:
Summer 2001.
Parts Used:
- Tom Modellbau TK-3 (rebox of RPM TK-3)
- Aber PE
Reason stalled:
The Aber set has you scratch-building a mount for the exhaust which is rather compicated and at the time was well beyond my skill level. In fact, I'm not sure it is within my current skill level either.
Current State:
Project #2: British Tadpole
Begun:
Summer 2001.
Parts Used:
- Encore Tadpole
Reason stalled:
This kit was basically a piece of crap and has been a pain in the butt from the beginning. As you can see all it needs is detail painting, weathering, and a base. I would like to make it really muddy and have a couple of Tommys charging with it through no man's land, but I just can't get the motivation up to work on it.
Current State:
Project #3: British Sherman ARV Mk. I
Begun:
Summer 2002.
Parts Used:
- DML Vc Firefly
- Resicast ARV Mk. I Conversion
- Fort Duquesne wheels
- Aber PE
- RHPS tracks
Reason stalled:
The Aber fenders do not fit the hull properly which really pissed me off as I had cut the kit fenders off to use the Aber ones.
Current State:
Project #4: German Ferdinand
Begun:
Fall 2002.
Parts Used:
- DML Ferdinand
- Royal Models PE
- Royal Models Fenders
- Jordi Rubio barrel
- Friulmodel tracks
Reason stalled:
I realized that I was going to have to solder the fenders if there was any hope of them staying on which made me really nervous at the time as I hadn't done any soldering yet. I am quite a bit more confident in my soldering abilities now so there is a high likelyhood of this project getting picked back up soon.
