I picked this kit up for about 12 bucks from Greatmodels.com. I thought it would be a perfect testbed for some finishing techniques I had never tried before.
Shots of construction. The kit went together well, with some filling needed on the roof. Also, not having much reference on the vehicle I cannot really comment on the accuracy.
The tires are odd as they seem to have a very sticky surface. Also, I've heard that they split over time. However, I did not want to spend much money at this time, so I stayed with them.
Here's some shots of the initial basecoat (Tamiya Desert Yellow and White), the mix being tweaked a bit here and there to add a little variation to the scheme.
I sprayed the green camo next using Tamiya Field Gray. The markings are completey fantasy and sprayed on using Tamiya paints and some stencils made of masking tape.
