I was quite excited to see this kit announced and when it arrived in the mail last week, I had to stop all work on my StuG and start this one.
A review is available on PMMS and of course Marco is building one currently. This build is going to be straight OOTB except for an Armorscale barrel and some added details here and there.
Section 1 (and I might skip sections as I see fit).
The forward chassis section (parts U17 and U18) are attached to the main floor part (U27), as are the crossmember which holds the shock absorbers. There is a noticable misfit on both sides and a slight gap.
The lower panel should be way thinner than this as it is 3-5mm sheet steel. To correct this I filed the parts flush and then added some Green Stuff to the gap. Once cured this was sanded back and then lightly scraped with a razor to get a thoroughly flat surface.
Once this was done on both sides I could replace the removed bolts (slightly repositioned as well) and add some missing details.
