Back in 2003 when last I was at Euromilitaire, I discovered a company called The Fusilier, who specialize in 80mm (c.1:24 scale) First World War subjects. I was attracted to this particular figure because of the 'presenting arms' pose - he seems to embody a pride and romanticism which was effectively machine-gunned out of existence at Tannenburg.
Anywhoo, it's my first white metal figure, first "for real" attempt at painting a figure in decades, and I'm still on the learning curve when it comes to working with acrylics. It goes without saying this won't be winning any medals at Euro this year.
(Oh right - so far I've only done the flesh tones... the rest is tamiya primer, obviously)
