Hey everybody,
this is my first try on a real SBS, so be kind

.
If my english ends to shitty, feel free to correct me as it´s the only way to improve.
I will post as many steps as possible, but will try to keep it as less boring as possible.
Well, first some impressions on the kit itself.
As already said by Marco, a lot of things have improved on the new kit.
When I ripped my old built 250 (alte Art, the "Greif"), I was able to take some of it´s parts for comparison.

These are the instructions for the Treibräder on the old kit.
Sorry btw, white balance is a bit crappy on these pics, I will check this next time.

New instructions for the Treibräder, built out of three parts now.

Comparison.
I think you can see that the detail now is crispier on the new parts and details seem to capture the look of the real wheels much better AND they even include the screws that hold the rubber pads on the wheels.

Here you can see that the new parts are narrower than the old parts.
...and new ones builts up using six parts. Good thing is you can paint the tire sans the wheel.

Instruction for old frontwheels, consisting of three parts...

DML got rid of these nasty pinmarks on the back of the new wheel.
Tire is just put in situ for photo purposes.
The fit actually was OK after removing some material on the outline of the wheel.

The new pattern can be seen here. The pattern on the old ones was correct as well, so maybe I will ending using one of the tires each for my kit.

Funny thing, old tire gave us "Continental" but the screws looked more like rivets

while the new one the now so usual "Continentau"

but with better definition of the actual hexagonal screws
Tire size embossing is the same on both
As to my SBS,
you will see that I don´t build to much as the instructions say as I like to build stuff that captures my interest most.
