FV432 with Cymbeline Radar

Time to get back on the tools!
I have been to Wonderfest 2007 in the US with my Sci Fi modelling hat on.. what a hoot of a show. Between that and the Aussie Model Expo is was a bit modelled out...... but time to get back to some AFV modelling.
So now for something completly different... a modern AFV that does fire a shot in anger.
I have always, for some reason had a liking for the Brit Fv432.. I spent enough time in Aussie M113 to probably put me off them for a while
Well here is the beasty

It is the Accurate Armour kit of the FV432 with Rarden Turret, but I have done a Berlin Brigade Vehicle before (killer masking job.. never again!!) so I opted for something just a bit different.

Then you find this !! I got this kit off EvilBay so I suspect it is a seconds/reject example, well I hope so anyway.

So to fix that l did this.. it was for the best and really the only way forward. Remove the lot and start again.

Then I started on the Radar array.. I cut the plastic card to shape using a template then put brass rods for strength. The mounting and radar base was taken from as many photos as I could find on the net and in my books...pix of the Cymbeline unit are very few and far between so if anybody can help out there it would be most appreciated.

After that replace the Glacis plate with card and do a test fit of the radar and mount. It is all a bit wonky so far as it is only in test and fit mode.

The clean up of the roadwheels was typical white metal/Accurate Armour.. its is all there , but a tedious job to get them to a useable condition

Some more to come as we progress. This will take a while so please bear with me. I have about 5 months before the next Model Show.
Thanks

Brian T
