The Pz.Kpfw III chassis vBench

I told myself that I wasn't going to buy any new models at the OHMS show this past Saturday but then stumbled upon quite the deal and ended up getting two Tamiya 48th scale kits (StuG III ausf. B and Pz.kpfw III ausf. L) for $25. To boot each kit included the Voyager PE set for said kit, and the ausf. L had the Verlinden interior as well. So I made out pretty good.

While I am weathering the Beetle as my current project for whatever reason I cannot paint and have anything else going on. But I do like to build and watch sports at the same time. Sunday had a couple of games on that I wanted to watch, but at the same time I did not want to miss valuable free time for modeling. Thus, I multi-tasked.

Below is a quick shot of about four hours of work on the two kits. The tracks are removable for ease of painting and I did not use the PE sets as I have two more projects that I plan on using the same kits for. Hope to finish construction this week, then start painting after the Beetle is finished.
