Well for my first build on planet Armour, I would like to do the Revell 1/9th scale Kubelwagen.
This is only my second on line build and my first ever German model, as I have always built American armour and soft skin.
As I have being waiting to get my Vbench set up I have started the build, the engine was built first and painted, well I thought if that went wrong was it worth carrying on, but as it turned out I was pleased with the way it came out, as for the build of the engine the fit was very good, it did not need much filler and there was almost no flash, this is the result.
After the engine was built, I started on the body work again as you can see from the photos very little filling required and again the fit of the parts were good, I made up the timber foot boards from 2mm x 1mm timber I had in stock the clamps to hold these in place yet to be made
Well that brings me up to date on the build so far, if you have any comments and pointers on where and what I am doing wrong please let me know, I joined this forum to learn from those who are better, by looking at the models being built and reading how they are build and the tips they give and then trying them out, but that is how we all learn.
By the way I am not the quickest of builders, so please bear with me on the up dates.
Well that's all for now
Mick
