Yes, if you paint with an enamel you need to protect the paint job with an acrylic like Future or Testors Acrylic gloss coat before weathering with oils. If you don't the thinning agent you use such as Mineral Spirits can ruin you paint job. Since my original response to this post back in Feb. I have gone to all acrylic paint and I weather in oils. No future or duraquil required.
