Lionroar PanzerIV Ausf. H late etching fender has me confused...

if you in the picture, I've red-outlined the waffled-patterned-floor-thingy ends. I've looked at all the photos of the real thing, but they all show that part extending all the way out to the edge of the fender...

Did Lionroar really goofed on this or what happend??
