Hi everybody,
I just bought this kit a few weeks ago as I wanted something new to start in paralel with the other running projects (M3A1 Stuart and Panzerbefehlswagen I Ausf. B at the moment). It was quite cheap by the way, only 4000 forints ~ 20 US dollars. Opening the box I found a Tamiya kit from the ancient times (older, than myself) with brand new parts to upgrade and aluminium barrel plus some little PE parts. So it was not disappointing.
The assembly was quite straightforward and easy though one must be carefully following the instructions. Other way the old parts could be glued to the model instead of the nice new ones as it almost happened to me sometimes. Some putty was required on the upper hull but no real problem arose.
This kit will be a good practice for me of weathering, camo painting and to try my brand new soldering set

It has only one but important scratch-built part: my first-ever soldering of the jerry-can holder. - round of applause - And now the pics...
The famous first-ever soldered part
Before painting. A lot of wheels (32) - I will never have Panzer IV, I promised to myself or I will hire somebody to paint all those little wheels

by the way I made my first wet-palette during this project and it worked very well as seen below...
After the base color (Model Air - Middle Stone with White 10:3)...
... and finding a huge but well surviving seam line
The camo and the wheels together...
That's where we are now, and starting to glue the track from this:
Thanks for watching

cheers,
Zsolt
