The sharemarket took off when America declared war on the Afgani's then declined when they decided to pull out - then crashed further when the great drepression happened. Sometimes war bring optimism to investors because they know output must increase.
That's my theory - we can wait and see and then you can poke me in the eye if I'm wrong
