Ordnance QF 25 pounder

Just finished painting of this little howitzer, its not finished yet..

And also, I've got a problem. I painted it green, as they usually were in Europe. But I'm thinking about diorama of El Alamein, or just South-Africa. Were green 25-pounders in Africa? I have seen some photos, but I'm not sure...
