AMX 30-105 (Heller 1/35)
Hi folks,
as a French armor enthusiast, I couldn't resist any longer ! I told myself "dude, move your ***, time for some real modelling !" This is how I decided to buy a Heller model. A good base, though it clearly needs a lot of work to become acceptable. First time I did so much scratch, hope you guys are gonna like it. Here's the beast, from the assembly to the beginning of the weathering.
On a photo there was a bit of oil paint I forgot, but I blended it right this morning. Weathering so far was made with oils paints, and dry pastels fixed with white spirit for the exhaust pipes. Next steps are some weathering with AK Interactive and Mig products, the the lower hull, the wheels, the tracks, and of course lots of mud !
One last thing : my "chipping" work is too... big. But yesterday I watch Mig Jimenez's great DVD on color modulation and at the end he shows how to "chip" properly. It'll be better on the next model, trust me on this one !
Going back to "real" work now, you'll get more pics later !
