Hi all,
Its been a long time since I posted here on PA due to my sons accident,so bear with me while I get re-established.
Just some in progress shots of my STUH 42.
Inspiration for this came from the series of pics contained in both After the Battle Operation Market Garden (Vol 2) and Concords German armoured units at Arnhem September 1944.
Base kit is Dragons excellent depiction of an Alkett produced STUH (#6554).
Late roof grafted on.
Armorscale 105mm StuH 42 L/28(B35-024).
Combo of Wolf/Royal Model figures.
Friuls excellent late tracks (ATL-28).
Late return rollers...K59'S awesome MG42 ...Voyager damaged wheels..assorted stowage ..etc ..etc.
Most of the vehicle will be covered with foliage as per the pics.
Ive depicted it a little later than the photo series after sustaining some mine/PIAT damage.
Lots of small things like wing nuts etc,and some mold seams to deal with and weld beads to tone down, but Im happy with its progress.
A fun build all round, and I cant recommended Dragons kit highly enough!.
Thanks for looking.
And thanks to Sam Dwyer for the great pics.
Best.
Ray Blythe.
