Here is my Kazakhstan BTR-3E. For the model, I used SP Design conversion mounted on Zvezda’s BTR-80 lower hull. This model represents a proposed upgraded BTR for the Kazakhstan army with added armor plates to the exterior and a sprawl liner on the interior. I used plastic sheet cut to shape for the plates and used my homemade punch set to make all the retaining clips for the armor. The wheels were replaced with better-detailed copies also from SP. The model was painted with Vallejo model air and model master acryl. Then weather with Mig filters and wash, fallowed by painted chipping and then dusting of pigments. The figure is from Masterclub, painted with Vallejo and a fine pin wash. The base is made from poster board with cellaclay roadbed with sand and stones from the backyard. The cliff face was made with modeling clay that can be shaped by hand and then baked in the oven. Overall, I am very pleased with the results of the SP kit and would highly recommend them to everyone.
