Resurrected Sovereign SdKfz 247B German armored car
Howdy all: I got this kit back in 1999 or something. I got underway but noticed many items needed correcting. I cast copies of armored viewports and had to radically alter the ways the wheels mounted to the solid resin body (it's heavy!!). As I accumulated more research material and photos, the more I saw I needed to do. Then I shelved the kit at this point:
Spurred on by a contest over at TL called "Shelf Queens", I decided to pull this kit out once again with renewed energy. I've tackled the incorrect roof, the incorrect nose plate and bumpers, the incorrect driver's view ports, and other areas. There are a few more items to attend to as well as adding the Archer resin weld seams onto the appropriate places. Anyways, here's where it's at right now:
