Dressing up an old model. Befehlspanzerwagen 38(t)

Hi all,

this one started as an exercise object for the hairspray technique. I grabbed an old model, the Tristar 38(t) kit, and used it as base for a little fun. I painted directly over the original paint job and applied a thin layer of acrylic white. After a few minutes I removed some parts of the whitewash and started mapping and filtering with oils.

Here is the current state , just a few more tweaks and I will call this one complete.

Any comments and suggestions are highly appreciated.

The original model. I removed some details like the Rahmenantenne for the painting process:


A layer of HS, followed by acrylic white:


Chipping with a stiff brush and water:


Added darkbrown washes and a first mapping:


Painted some parts for the vehicle:
