This has been posted elsewhere but I thought I'd add it to my blog on PlanetArmor for continuity.
A groupbuild over at the Norwegian board had me buy the latest Tamiya kit since I always wanted to build this particular Czech Hetzer from the Prague uprising. The kit an early/mid production so I needed some four hole tension wheels which I got from a friend who had the Eduard Hetzer, and then I had to scratch a new exhaust. The rest of the differences I can't be bothered with. I found out from the pics that the machinegun shield could possibly have been made from the right side hatch.
Figures are from MK35 and are really French resistance fighters but I thought I could change the heads and perhaps put a german helmet on one of them.
Here's my inspiration. Pictures are stolen from some Czech forum. I wish I could give some acknowledgement but my Czech lingo knowledge is limited.
DEATH TO THE GERMAN MURDERERS!
Different slogans here. Seems like this pic was taken earlier than the previous, simply because the foliage seems a bit fresher. A bit.
That star looks cool I thought when I found this pic.
And my feeble attempts.
Since the camo can be discussed I went with my fave variant. Just because this is a fun project. I dabbed som Maskol on the reddish primer and then proceeded with various Tamiya colours.
