Well, I had started the M5A1 conversion for a contest at Twenot. But sadly the M5A1 was disqualified, not having been designed as a recon vehicle
Oooh well, since my stash is fairly good I pulled out Dragon M2 'smart kit'.
Very easy to build, with just clean up needed. So far, I have built the rear module. DML has made a simple design here, which allows them to easily swap out the parts and make a M3/M3A1. Overall fit is very good, with just a small area at the fuel tanks needing some filler.
The MG skate rail is moulded on one piece using slide models. Slide mold or not, there are a lot of nodes needing removal and a seam line on the inside as well. No pin marks though, so it's worth the effort.
