Hello guys,
here's my first V-Bench posting, please be gentle.
It's a CMP-FAT (Quad gun tractor) in German sevice during the North-Africa camaign.
It's the tamiya kit pimped with the Eduard PE-set and some scratch (sparewheel rack).
Since it's "in country" for a while and survived one sandstorm too many, it's supposed to look like it had a really bad sandblasting job.
The chipping progress was done with the laundry-detergent method. Avery diffecult and hard to control way of creating peelled-off paint.
The result though is great, at least, that's what I think.
The PAK-40 is the Dragon kit, and I build it OOB, a pretty nice kit, I may add.
Enough chit-chat, here are the pics:
The naked Quad:
The sparewheel rack made out of Evergreen strips, thank god for the good reference-pics.
The PAK-40
The Duo: Quad an PAK-40
The painted and weathered Quad, pigments still are to be added.
The pics of the painted and weathered PAK will soon follow.
Shoot please
