So here I go again.
Here are the models that I'm currently working on.
1. This is Tamiya's venerable T-34-76 with hard-edge turret. I built this one nearly 20 years ago. I still have all my old 1/35 kits, now and then I take one of them to rework it, which is sometimes more fun for me than building a new kit with all the "doo-das". Main problem with this kit is that the hull angles are off, the back of the turret is much too wide and the open sponsons - like all the other old Tamiya kits.
By now I have filled the sponsons, removed all the small parts of the hull, filled the holes, reworked some of the welds, added a mix of different road wheels. As I want to show an abandoned vehicle, I also added Verlinden's old t-34 update & detailing set (no. 968), which gives you engine parts for the open hatches and some PE for the air outlet. I'm glad that I bought the Verlinden kit very cheaply because calling it really bad would be an understatement. I reworked it and now it's okay, but far from perfect. The grill cover is by Aber.
2. This is my other project. I hope my workbench doesn't give the impression that I'm masochistic - here's the super-dog kit of the Panzer 1a by Masterbox (turret by RPM). I don't want to bore anyone with the problems of that one - it's a very, very long list. Don't ask me why I do this when there are the nice Tristar and Dragon kits - I ask myself everyday the same question. My advice: If you have this kit, sell it on Evil-bay quickly.
I have to put on the tracks, add the short crow bar, scratch the armored air outlet covers and add some brass MG 13 barrels (Schatton?).
That's all for today - I will keep you updated on these two kits in the next days.
Thanks for looking,
Lukas
