Due in part to the paucity of allied subjects on this site I decided to post photos of a side project I've been working on lately. This is DML's 1941 model T-34/76 which I built in 2004/2005 when I still had no idea how to properly do a wash or any other "modern" weathering technique. Since I liked the model despite its bad finish I decided to hold onto it until the day my skills improved enough to do it some justice. I recently pulled the kit off the shelf to bring it up to snuff.
Flashback spring 2005; this is what the T-34 looked like before I began to monkey around with it.

pretty pathetic, eh?
Now following a yellow ocher filter, a dark brown wash, and some chipping
still not quite there. I'll be doing some fading and dusting effects soon. I'd like to give the impression of a dusty tank with rain streaking through the dust. Any ideas on how I could achieve that?
