Hi all,
It's been some time since I posted anything substantial here. Life got in the way of it, but I've had some time to research, model and paint.
Here's my latest progress. Tasca's beautiful M4A1 kit, mated with a Formations lower hull. It's meant to represent an M4A1 in Italy. I'm planning to place it a scenic setting, where it has slid off the road and it's being prepared to be recovered.
Main build finished, with a good look at the workbench and some references
First coat of paint on. It was sprayed with a Harder and Steinbeck 'Evolution' airbrush. Vallejo Olive Drab 71043 was used. I lightened this with some Vallejo Dark Yellow 71025.
All bogies and wheels were kept separate and placed on cocktail sticks.
For the Earth Yellow camouflage I used a mix of Vallejo Sand 71075 and Wood 71077. A small drop of Yellow 71002 give it some 'sparkle'.
Yesterday, I applied the decals from the Tasca. An overspray takes care of the stark look and unifies the colours. This was done with heavily thinned 71075 Sand and 71060 Satin Varnish.
Comments are most welcome!
Cheers, MartinD
