Firstly, my apologies if I get a bit longwinded
I have recently been pursuing an E100 build, and, as I have recently found out, my basic skills are somewhat lacking (i.e. painting, filtering, washes etc, etc) and the result is the proof of the pudding (link to be posted shortly to current state of the E100)
So, I have decided to go 'back to basics' using this old Tamiya KV-1B. What I hope to do is to take it slowly, gaining advice and experience from some of the excellent modellers I have seen on this site. My apologies in advance for this rather longwinded approach, but I think real-time advice is far better than just picking up a book.
Anyway, this is the beast I will be using: -
and, this is the current state of affairs (pure OOB build): -
So, its time to paint, all parts I wish to paint seperately (wheels, drives, idlers, exhausts etc) are prepared. All I need to do is wash & Maskol....Do you recommend a primer, or should I use a base coat of the planned colour? (Apologies for the numpty questions)
Many, many thanks in advance
