Howdy friends and neighbors in this neck of the woods,
FINALLY I took some pictures of some my Sherman or M4 models and I will post them now.
The Sherman V represents a vehicle of the CANADIAN Grenadier Guards attached to 4th CAN ARM DIV in 1944 fighting in Normandy and Northern France. The model is the old DRAGON one, will the hull cut off 3.5 MM. I assume that this correction is known. Runnning gear is AFV Club. Tasca's one wasn't on the market then. The mantlet is lowered 1.2 MM and additional features added, like welding seams on the glacis plate, due to the fact that these aren't correct for an M4A4. The model was build in 2004.
The M4A1 of 3-32 AR of 3rd ARM DIV is the old DRAGON model. With today's detail sets available I would add the Tasca running gear and the TM cupola and other goodies.
My Shermans V C will be posted later. I have given them to a modelshop in Germany for display. As soon as I get them back I'll take some pictures.
As mentioned earlier I build also US, UK, CA and BE Modern. I like the PAPA CHARLIE, M113 and its variants.
Cheers
Hauke
