I have fubared the finish on my Panther yet again, so I've put it away for now and started a new project. This is Tamiya's repop of the 222. It is a nice kit that features 3 figures, a motortcycle (dkw?) and some drums and extra jerry cans. I'll be building this up as a diorama suggested on the box top.
I've done ground-work before, so no biggy there, but I've never made a serious attempt to paint figures. Armed with Shepard Paine's diorama book and some brand new brushes, I plunged in today. Thus far I've only began to base-coat these three fellows.
I'm really excited by this project. Wish me luck.
