As a newbie to the world of armor ( i have built a Tamiya Matilda last year) I have a growing stash of kits to build and would love to get stuck into a King Tiger.
I have the following kits available:

My initial thought is to try and replicate the following Cat:
If so can you please guide me in the most appropriate kit either the battle of the bulge or ardennes kits? Are they the same?
Also what aftermarket gear would be best to get? I would love to give PE a go but that would probably mean that i would have to learn how to solder (and purchase one) or should i just go with an OOB build?
I am only an amature airbrusher but hey practice makes perfect and the pic shows the 100 with a whitewash (which the reference says was rare for the 45 tanks of the 505th? So i would like to try that as well.
Also I have have to apply the Zimm, what is the easiest/best way to apply this. I have purchased the Lion Roar Zimm coating applicator, so what is the best Putty/material to use?
Any other tips or advice would be great.
I would also like to do a diorama, which would be my first and I have a simple idea of the Tiger on a snowy/muddy road with some forest edges showing. the pic says this particlay tank was based in the area of konigsberg in jan45, so I guess this would be appropriate?
