T34/85 Battle for Berlin Dio
Hello PA!!
My FIRST posting and I hope I got this right! I have been lurking and learning for quite a while. I am 57 years old and used to build many years ago - primarily 1/32 aircraft. I recently got back into modeling about a year and a half ago because I found it a great stress reliever from work. I joined our local modeling club here in Portland (OHMS) and discovered some terrific builders of armor, specifically Rick Lawler, Jon Lange and Tony Roberts. Their modeling skills and willingness to share their build techniques were motivation for me to give armor a try. I was turned on to PA and was further inspired by some fantastic builds and tutorials. Although I have never met most of you, many of you have also been great teachers as well as inspiration for me. I am now officially an "armor addict".
The pictures attached are of my third armor build after joining OHMS. I tried a dio of the Battle for Berlin using the Dragon T34/85 kit. If I remember, Voyager PE set along with Diorama's Plus building front which I modified. I was thrilled to take a third place in dios at the regional IPMS contest last September as well as a first place in the Diorama's Plus contest held recently. I welcome your comments and suggestions.
I need to give special recognition and huge thanks to Rick Lawler who took the time to take these pictures and to walk me thru this posting thing. He is always willing to help and I really appreciate his help. I enjoy modeling much more than I do trying to figure out this computer uploading stuff.
