I would like to share my latest project. The DML StuG III. The model is upgraded with Voyager "basic set" and with the fenders. The Shurtzen are from Aber, barrel with mantlet is from Armorscale, tracks from Friulmodel.
I use most PE parts from Voyager set but they aren't so good and precise like those known from Aber (Aber still didn't release PE for this model...) Many parts seems to be to small or rather to thin so I decided to mix original DML parts with those PE and some scratch build. I made the acrylic plates in the Commander's cupola, and correct the weld seems (they were to deep according to the actual photos from the real vehicles) I also made the texture on the steel plates with Tamiya Tool Cleaner, Tamiya putty and the stiff brush. Most of the metal parts were joint with KOKI soldering paste and the micro gas torch. More progress soon!
