Hi guys,
after a long time of rest, i'm coming to my tools again ! Waiting for a King Tiger I ordered, I decided to repaint an old one I did a year ago. The paint was not that good, i wasn't good enough myself with my airbrush. I read a magazine written by a friend of mine about the hungarian front, and it gave me the idea. I put water and salt on various places, painted a light, white coat on it and wiped the salt off before i was totally dry, so some salt could remain and look like frozen snow. Then I used Mig Prod stuff (rainmarks and rust washes, along with Lifecolor Rust 2 acrylic wash), Vallejo paint (German black Brown and Flat brown for the chipping work), and there is still work to come !
Here are some pics of the beast (camera : Eos 7D + Canon 100 macro) :
There it is. An old thread on this forum gave me inspiration, an awesome Panther painted by Sergionex, but I didn't managed to work as good as him ! Nex time I hope. I'll keep you posted.
