Tamiya 1/16 German field commander

This is my first attempt at building a 1/16 scale figure. so far i have painted the head in acrylics and oils (excluding chin strap) and i think it needs something else but im not sure what can you help me please?
also i would like to know if i should put some highlights with oils on the body and arms ?
