Always been intrigued by this Panther, so when ICM came out with this kit, it went straight to the "to do" pile. This German project never went beyond the prototype stage.
I recently found it again at the bottom of a moving box. There will be little AM stuff, only a Eduard grill set (for the original Dragon D & A Panther).
In the box it all looked OK with indie track links (no hole in the guide horn) and nice details. But the problems started wile constructing.
Hull construction Problem 1.
Most of the suspension arms where bent beyond 90%. By bending them back the plastic turned white. Not so good. Closer inspection of the kit wheels showed soft details. Help came in the form of spare sets from a Tamiya and Dragon Steel wheel Panther.
Here is a comparison of the wheels. Dragon has the best details but Tamiya is still nice.
I went with the Dragon wheels because of better details and I could use the spare suspension arms in the steel wheel kit (being careful to keep the correct arms in the Dragon box!).
This is the result
The holes where to big for the Dragon arms, so they had to be carefully glued and aligned.
Cast exhausts came from Dragon.
