Here is Hobby Boss new Land Rover Defender XD WMIK built almost straight from the box. I made a few minor changes to the model to represent features seen on the real trucks. The spare tire was moved from the hood to the side of the roll cage with a new mount made. The rifle rack was moved from the horizontal position to the vertical with a base for the rifles and head padding. The GPMG was replaced with a L7 from Dragon’s modern marine set since the details on HB gun was a bit over scaled. The M2 was replaced with one from AFV Club’s Stryker update set with a modified mount and optical site. The gear and equipment came from the spare parts bin mostly from Tamiya. The figures come from Dragon SBS set and Warrior’s modern British tank crew. This kit is an absolute gem that almost builds it’s self with no problems at all. I will be adding more of these kit to my collection with even the possibility of doing a few civilian versions.
