Well, this is my attempt at doing Trumpeter's Sturer Emil. I'll first post pictures I have taken, at the beginning of the build (Started about a week and a half ago) and keep it up to date. I'm doing this as strictly OOB. Just to get my feet wet again.
Here is a dry fit of the major components before the first airbrushing:
I then sprayed with Tamiya German Grey:
Next Mr Surfacer to the lower hull. It's easier I think, to simulate this now, than at the end using only washes and chalk:
Next I lightened it up with some Flat White and started to shade:
